I’m liking this loosey-goosey drop-waisty sort of feel that’s hanging around all over the place. The only thing that irks me about the trend is how strong the impulse is for many to go full-on 20’s as soon as the waistline of a dress descends past the bellybutton—finger waves, t-straps, the whole speakeasy jam (the individual elements of which are rad) are deployed all at once. I think that incorporating one 20’s-y element is quite enough… I’ll leave the full Zelda routine to Zelda… and of course that new rendition of the Great Gatsby that’s brewing. YOWZA. But seriously, look at this Valentino shit. Magic. Can’t ya just see it layered over a white t-shirt with dark tights and booties and shaggy hair and spiky baubles? Unf.
